Madrid 2011. Emboldened, I took a sketch book for a long weekend. Looking and drawing out in the world. Some things stayed nicely still for me; others moved and in those cases I tried to stay calm and get what I could. I don't know whether this is the place to say it but it keeps forcefully occuring to me that eye, brain and arm have a good deal in common with shutter, light and sensor/sensitised paper. This was the second series of drawings I posted to Flickr some 8 or 9 months after the 26 drawings. This time I fully intended them as secondary photographic documents of primary physical objects.
